Top 5 Android Card Battler Apps in the US: A Q3 2022 Snapshot

The third quarter of 2022 has been an interesting period for Card Battler games on Android in the United States. Leveraging data from Sensor Tower, let's take a closer look at how five key players performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Magic: The Gathering Arena saw an impressive spike in revenue, reaching around $319k during the first week of September, compared to approximately $100k at the end of June. Downloads peaked at around 16k in late July but trended downward to around 9k by the end of September. Active users showed a slight increase from around 74k to nearly 79k in late August, then dipped to roughly 71k by the quarter's close.

PANORAMIK GAMES LTD's Mighty Party experienced a revenue high of almost $180k in the first week of August, a significant rise from the $131k at the quarter's start. Downloads saw their highest point at nearly 18k in late July, but sharply decreased to around 3k by mid-September, before slightly recovering to over 7k. Weekly active users had a high of almost 195k in late July, which then fell to around 141k by the end of the quarter.

WWE SuperCard - Battle Cards from 2K, Inc. garnered around $166k in revenue at the beginning of September, with a low of around $99k in mid-September. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from roughly 2.5k to around 2.7k. Active users started at approximately 44k and increased to around 43k by the end of August, then slightly decreased to about 41k.

Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.'s Hearthstone saw a revenue peak of nearly $300k in early August, with a notable drop to around $49k by mid-September. Downloads were consistent, hovering around 2.5k to 3.7k throughout the quarter. Active users showed a peak of around 87k at the end of August, decreasing to about 78k by the quarter's end.

Lastly, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links from KONAMI had a revenue surge to around $235k in the last week of September, contrasting with about $131k at the start of the quarter. Downloads spiked to roughly 11.6k in the same week, a significant increase from around 3.7k at the beginning of the quarter. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, peaking at nearly 197k by the quarter's end, up from around 133k.
